Full time employee, I work for a startup and have just found out I'm underpaid compared to my coworkers, I switched from another team into the one i'm on currently, but at this point i've been working my current role for more than a year and feel that at this point its time I started getting paid equally as i'm doing the same amount of work as everyone else. Financially wise, the company is doing solid and there isn't any reason to think the company is going out of business.
For those who have been in a similar situation, how did you go about talking about this with your manager? Should I have a job offer in my hand before I even begin to have talks like this with my manager in case they give me a flat out no? Any tips or help would be greatly appreciated!
I'll be soon trying to raise my first round so would like to know some things you have been through,
How much did you raise? Was it a SAFE round or equity? Or mixed? How many investors were on board by the time you completed the round? Did you decide on raising a fixed amount? (For eg. 2m $ ) Or it was in a range (eg. Anything between 1-2m$ )
How many investors you pitched before completing the round?
Also, I'm building a hard tech B2G startup so some information in that context would be amazing!
