When you serve as an aggregator platform. What is the most secure and cost effective way of charging the customers money and then paying the seller on a mobile platform. Do you directly transfer the payment from buyer's credit card to the seller at the time of purchase ?Is it fair to ask the sellers to share some of the transaction fee burden or to ask the customer ? From my initial research, there are too many mouths which take their cut in this process. Visa, bank, Apple pay, stripe.
So i'm building a 2-sided marketplace and i wanted to know how can a consumer pay the supplier directly because the products will be shipped directly from supplier to consumer, i don't hold the goods, mostly like ebay and not amazon. Do any of you guys have 2-sided marketplaces willing to chat and help out a broke college student get some food?
I have been looking for a while to replace Stripe as a payment service provider.
They are quite cheap (1,4 % + 0,25 € for European cards). Most of my clients are form the EU, so that is what is relevant to me.
One alternative is Paymill (1,35 %), but only with their Pro account.
Other payment service providers in Europe are Payolution, Brainstree, Paypal, BS PAYONE, mPAY24. Though not cheaper.
Who is beating the 1,4 % on EU card payments that Stripe is offering?
